Horses and Friends 101

Connecting with Horses through trust and respect

Horses and Friends Part 1 is an introduction to horses that offers children a unique opportunity to connect with horses through observation and hands-on grooming. This session focuses on building trust, learning about horse characteristics, and understanding their body language. Children will gain a deeper appreciation for the gentle nature of horses while developing important emotional and social skills in a safe, supportive environment.

Horses and Friends 201

Leadership

Horses and Friends Part 2 invites students to deepen their bond of trust and respect with their horse. In this engaging program, students will practice connective grooming learn how to halter their horse, and develop essential leading skills. Confidence and problem-solving will be integral to their personal growth in this supportive group setting. Join us for an enriching experience that fosters both skills and friendships!

🌿Building Trust, Confidence, and Connection

                 Welcome to our Horses and Friends classes!
Each class consists of 2  one-hour sessions filled with hands-on experiences that help children grow in confidence, teamwork, and understanding.

  • Class 101 must be completed before enrolling in Class 201.

  • Small group size — maximum of 6 participants — ensures personal attention and meaningful connections.

  • Cost varies depending on enrollment numbers.

After completing both classes, students will have the opportunity to join riding sessions, offered as individual lessons or as group activities with peers at the same level.

🌿 Life Skills Focus

Through observation, grooming, and guided interaction, students learn:

  • Trust & Respect – understanding how horses communicate and respond to calm leadership

  • Confidence – recognizing how energy and emotion affect connection

  • Teamwork & Communication – building healthy relationships with peers and horses

  • Responsibility & Care – developing empathy through hands-on horse care
