About Us
Since becoming a non profit in 2008, Stillwater Stables gives children ages 6-18 the opportunity to develop a relationship with a horse, building trust and respect. Nestled off the beaten path on 18 peaceful acres, our stables provides a quiet, natural place where the pace slows and hearts can heal. We believe in the quiet, transformative power of horses. Through connection, consistency, and care, children discover important life skills that help them grow in confidence, communication, and emotional awareness. Whether they are learning to trust for the first time or finding peace in the steady rhythm of grooming and leading, every child experiences the healing bond that forms between human and horse.
Our programs are designed to meet each child where they are—offering both individual and group opportunities for growth:
Our Mission: At Stillwater Stables, we help children discover their worth and to build confidence , trust and other life skills through meaningful experiences with horses.
Our Purpose :We are dedicated to giving children and teens the chance to build relationships, be equipped with leadership skills and the opportunity to discover their purpose in life regardless of their income level or background through working with horses.
Stillwater Stables is more than a barn—it’s a place of healing, learning, and hope. Here, every small step forward is celebrated, and every child is reminded that growth takes time, trust, and heart.
Through activities with their horse, students will develop relationships, leadership, and find purpose. Our focus on equine-assisted learning and character development ensures that children are well-prepared for a future of confidence and compassion.
